THE SOLID-STATE WORKHORSE
The FET47 idea earned its place in studios because it could put real weight behind a source without turning everything soft or indistinct.
The NUDE FET47 follows that broad studio philosophy with a cardioid-only large-diaphragm design: a precision-tuned K47-style capsule feeding a Class A FET circuit and custom-wound, transformer-isolated output.
Its published headroom is greater than 136 dB SPL, with a selectable -10 dB pad for extra margin on loud sources. A 75 Hz high-pass filter gives you a practical way to manage low-frequency build-up when the source or placement calls for it.
The result is a microphone built around the jobs that make this style of condenser useful: kick drum weight, bass definition, upright bass, vocals and acoustic instruments — with owner recordings showing it at work rather than asking you to take the claim on faith.
Classic-inspired FET character, modern session practicality, and no need to treat it like a museum piece.
WE LOVE LISTENING
Three real sessions, three very different jobs. Listen for the low-end authority, the clarity through the mids and the way the FET47 stays composed when the source gets energetic.

RECORDING APPLICATIONS
The FET47 has a reputation for big sources, but the useful bit is range: start at kick and bass, then keep moving it until the session tells you where it belongs.
Published headroom above 136 dB SPL, a -10 dB pad and owner evidence from Shrug Sound Studio make this one of the FET47’s clearest home-ground applications.
Hear it on kickThe product voicing is built for bass definition and weight, with transformer-isolated output and enough headroom for close placement.
Hear the low endJohnny Manchild describes the FET47 as a new favourite for upright bass, calling out its low end, low self-noise and smooth highs.
A full-bodied condenser voice with clear mids and polished highs, backed by owner sessions on both produced and live vocal tracking.
Hear the vocalOwner reports show the FET47 working successfully alongside live vocal and acoustic-guitar tracking, where body and articulation both matter.
A useful large-diaphragm option when you want the instrument to keep its weight without losing pick, string and midrange detail.
Hear the guitarGreater than 136 dB SPL published maximum level plus a selectable -10 dB pad gives you room to work close when the source is doing real air-moving.
Cardioid focus, 48 V phantom power and switchable pad/filter controls make the FET47 an uncomplicated microphone to move between jobs in a working session.

FROM NUDE OWNERS
Owner feedback is strongest where it matters: low end, smoothness, versatility and the simple fact that people keep putting the microphone back in front of sources.
Beautiful microphone. Super low self noise, awesome low end, and smooth highs… Might be my new favourite for upright bass.
Beautiful microphone. Loving our NUDE Fet47.
